Milan vs Lazio, probable lineups

AC Milan face Lazio in the quarter-final of Coppa Italia. Rebic and Tomori have recovered and will be available.

With the derby victory now on the archive the Rossoneri must concentrate on the upcoming Coppa Italia match. AC Milan will host Lazio at San Siro tonight, at 21:00 CET, in a match that will decided who will progress in the semi-final.

Coach Stefano Pioli admitted in the press conference that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be available for Milan vs Lazio. The Swedish striker is still struggling with an Achilles tendon problem. The good news is the return of Fiyako Tomori and Ante Rebic. The two were part of today’s training session. However, both are not expected to start from the first minute against Lazio.

Pioli has decided against making a turnover for Milan vs Lazio and intends to deploy practically the same formation seen in the derby. Once again Pierre Kalulu and Alessio Romagnoli will form the central duo in defence with Theo Hernandez and Davide Calabria completing the back four. Magic Mike between the posts.

One change in midfield. It will be Franck Kessie to play alongside Sandro Tonali rather than Ismael Bennacer. The experiment with Kessie in the attacking midfielder role was a total failure in the derby so Brahim Diaz will take his spot in Pioli’s eleven. Junior Messias and Rafael Leao will form the trio in support of Olivier Giroud.

AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kalulu, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Messias, Diaz, Leao; Giroud.

LAZIO (4-3-3): Reina; Hysaj, Luiz Felipe, Patric, Marusic; Milinkovic, Leiva, Luis Alberto; Anderson, Immobile, Zaccagni
